DIAGNOSTICS
During each initial consultation, your dermatologist will first make a diagnosis determining the skin condition and only then will select the treatment method which is the most appropriate for each individual patient. It should be noted, however, that a “naked eye” examination even by the most experienced doctor is not enough to ensure the accurate diagnosis.
So, we use dermoscopy – a non-invasive tissue imaging technique for visual diagnosis of neoplasm (skin formations) signs causing no tissue injury, which is essential from a safety perspective.
Dermoscopy is a standard procedure for diagnosis of skin neoplasms allowing to have a highly magnified view of skin lesions, and it is mandatory before any neoplasm is removed!
THE MOST IMPORTANT DIAGNOSTIC METHODS IN DERMATOLOGY:
- Dermoscopy;
- Morphological examinations – the most important tool for cancer diagnosis;
- Scraping to detect pathogenic fungi for the diagnosis of mycosis;
- Biopsy – tissue sampling for histological examinations;
- General biochemical blood test;
- Blood test for detection of antibodies and antigens.
